AXE TAVERN REFURBISHMENT

Originally this public house had two quite distinct enviroments semi separated by a large chimney breast. Our brief here was to remove the chimney breast and create an open unified ambiance throughout. With this in mind we constructed a completely new serving area using the existing external facade as our template.

Herringbone brickwork bar, window transom pot rail and facia / fretwork above etc. Similar fretwork panels were created to house and indeed hide the food integral unit when not in use. Due to the severe wear and tear subjected upon public houses the need for refurbisment is perpetual as is the provision of a stylish enviroment to reflect the desired clientel.

Our expertice here revolves around balancing limited budgets with the provision of sound, functional and aesthetic design. With a view to apportioning resources wisely, many elements from the existing environment (below) have been repaired, retained and refinished.

Strategic allocation of the budget resources to final completion, once the whole environment has been decorated predominantly revolve round the coluoring and design of the carpet, soft furnishings, lighting and a little interesting bric-a-brac.
